Can ladies ever really have enough handbags?
This is one question that marvels me a lot. It is so because most men find themselves in wonderland and ponder over why ladies can’t do without a handbag, especially the bigger ones whilst they are just okay with a wallet.
Can girls ever really have enough handbags? Well I say a big “no” to that and these are short snippets to my answer. They say you can tell the true character of a girl by the attention she pays to her accessories. The all important accessories shoes, jewelry, scarves and oh yes, the accessories handbag (lipsticks, powder, cologne, make-up, etc)
A great handbag is a true companion. It is said through the history of fashion that a fabulous bag means “you’ve got class”.
Accessories purse, beaded purse, party purse etc are bags ladies get to buy without having all the practical conversations going on in their heads when their picking one out. Is it big enough or not too big? Will it hold my make-up bag and my books? Can I fit my work folders in there and my cell phone and my wallet? Does it have at least two separate pockets so I can find my keys and credit card aside from everything? Girls throw these questions to the wind as if the wind will help them make a choice.
To add more fact to what I already had, I decided to ask two of my friends their opinions.
Girls (Omoge & Kuokor), can you do without a handbag? Omoge quickly looked at me and chuckled. Then she said, “See me see trouble oooooooooo, what kind of question is this? I won’t even waist my time to answer this”. But Kuokor, who couldn’t hold back her words cried out loud, Oh my God, I can’t imagine myself come out of the house without a handbag, especially the bigger ones. What if I have an impromptu lunch treat? I will need my cosmetic purse to make-up a little more.
Sometimes I get worked up by the day with swollen feet; I will need my slip-on to make me feel more relaxed. Oh, lest I forget, I have a project work to do and am definitely going to need my course book. And please in other to achieve a good customer service goal; I have to look very presentable. At least I should make-up every 30 minute.
Each time I see ladies without a handbag, I conclude with all reasonable doubts that these ladies are from different planet. To put this conversation to sleep, I think I would be all messed up without a handbag, but all the same I will give it a try one of these days even though I know it will be so much difficult.”
Hmm! Now, that’s a real lady for you. To all men out there, please stop aching your head with these thoughts. A poll recently conducted found that, most women do not get their style cues from maternal one. If you care to know, most of us are born with ‘purse’ instinct that simply cannot be explained. See ya!
